Problemas de apagado y congelado con un Slimbook EVO 14 nuevo

Tengo un Slimbook EVO 14 nuevo, tuve problemas con el sistema operativo slimbookOS y decidi probar con Linux Mint 22.2.

Ahora también tengo problemas con Mint y bastante graves.

La instalación la hice configurando el disco cifrado.

Antes de escribir he probado a actualizar el firmware con la ultima versión que aparece en la web.

También he incluido los repositorios de slimbook y actualizado todos los paquetes.

Ahora mismo tengo dos problemas:

- Casi el 100% de las veces que apago el portátil, la luz de power se queda encendida y no funciona el arranque. Tengo que dejarlo presionado para que apague del todo y luego volver a presionar para que arranque. He probado a hacerlo sin arrancar ni un solo programa, solamente encender y apagar.

- En ocasiones se queda congelado, puedo acceder por ssh. En el dmesg puedo ver esto:

Llegados a este punto, pienso que tengo un problema de hardware. Soy usuario de Ubuntu desde hace años, y no tengo nada instalado que no tuviera en mi anterior portatil Lenovo. He tenido mas problemas con el slimbook en 2 semanas que en los ultimo 7 años con Lenovo.

A mí me ocurre lo mismo con un Pro X15 desde que actualicé a Ubuntu 25.04 con el kernel 6.14. He probado ahora con el kernel 6.17 y Ubuntu 25.10, pero hace lo mismo.

En relación a los problemas de arranque después de apagar el equipo, nuestro equipo técnico lo está mirando actualmente

Y por lo del freeze, el driver de AMDGPU parece que ha crasheado y ha mandado un stack trace al dmesg, si puedes mandar el stack trace completo (y no solo dónde aparece end stack trace) podremos investigarlo más a fondo

Los problemas no son realmente de arranque, sino de apagado, no acaba de apagarse el portátil, con lo cual cuando presionas el botón de power, no hace nada.

Con respecto al freeze, justo me ha pasado hace un rato, pero no he tenido la idea de volcar el dmesg a un fichero.
Pero tengo el anterior. Pego desde el momento que se cuelga

Me sumo a los 2 problemas.

- El ordenador se queda freeze de vez en cuando.

- No termina de apagarse, se queda con el led encendido y al día siguiente te lo encuentras sin batería.

Tengo el ordenador con el S.O tal y como me lo enviaron (con Kubuntu 24.04).

hay alguna solución? Esto ha empezado hace poco, antes no me pasaba.

Buenos días,
Comprueben si, con la última actualización de BIOS y EC, los problemas de apagado pasan en un Ubuntu limpio, nuestro equipo lo está investigando los problemas de freeze y problemas de apagado.

He estado haciendo mas pruebas y no creo que sea un problema de la BIOS (luego la actualizaré, estoy en la versión de Agosto, N.1.14GOS05)

El ordenador se apaga bien cuando uso el kernel de linux 6.11.x, si me actualizo al kernel 6.14.x deja de apagarse (hace como que se apaga, pero no termina a desconectarse y se quedan los ventiladores y el led de status encendido).

A ver si podéis solucionar esto rápido (que el otro día, pensaba que me salía ardiendo la mochila)

El equipo (EVO 14 AMD) sigue sin apagarse completamente la mayoria de las veces.

No se si es casualidad, pero ha pasado justo cuando he desconectado el cargador.

El equipo estaba recien arrancado, no habia iniciado ningun programa.

No lo he reinstalado porque supone perder todo el dia para volver a configurar todo, y ya lo he hecho dos veces desde que lo tengo.

Si me dais una minima explicación de porque puede funcionar mejor si lo reinstalo no tengo incoveniente, pero si el portatil no ha cambiado y el sistema tampoco, no entiendo que vaya a cambiar el comportamiento.

Buenso días, tenemos problemas de congelado de pantalla en 2 portatiles tmb. LA mayoria de las veces comienza por congelarse la del portatil y poco a poco van fallando el resto hasta que hay que apagar de botón. Ubuntu 24, con esto instalado y Bios actualizada:

Buenos días,
Hemos comprobado que los problemas de congelado pasa en EVOs con pantalla externa conectada a ella con el driver de AMDGPU que viene en el kernel 6.14.0, en el kernel 6.11 actualmente no pasa, recomendamos utilizar versiones anteriores del kernel mientras el problema aún está presente en la 6.14.0

https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/4129 está reportado a los mantenedores del drive

En relación a los problemas de apagado, aún estamos haciendo pruebas e intentado encontrar una solución al problema

Tengo el mismo problema con un ProX/AMD5 y estaba viendo otro hilo, de mi mismo equipo pero está cerrado y el karma no me deja aportar allí mi granito de arena.

También me ocurren los mismos síntomas, pero en mi caso con KDE Neon, basada en Ubuntu 24/04 (IIRC). Cuando me ocurre, antes terminaba apagando pulsando unos segundos el botón de power, pero creo que es mejor usar SysRq: En mi teclado es con Alt+ImprPant seguido de ISUO (dejando un segundo entre la U y la O)

Buenas, seguimos investigando el origen del problema pero todo apunta a que los problemas de apagado son culpa del módulo amdgpu y sucede cuando hay un monitor externo.

No es la solución definitiva pero al menos en nuestras pruebas, parece que desactivando el Plymouth (quitando quiet splash del etc/default/grub) lo soluciona.

Y lo deje asi:

No olvidar luego ejecutar:

sudo update-grub

No he vuelto a tener problemas con el apagado.

Hola. Estaba intentando depurar el problema y de casualidad descubrí una solución: consiste en editar /etc/default/grub y eliminar las dos opciones de GRUB_CMD_LINUX_DEFAULT: "quiet" y "splash". Tras ello, ejecutar "sudo update-grub", y reiniciar. Es cierto que perdemos la pantalla de arranque y en su lugar vemos mensajes del kernel, pero es mejor que nada.

Puedes dejar splash si quieres tener la animacion, con quitar quiet o añadir fbcon=nodefer se soluciona igualmente. Ojo, seguimos investigando porque parece una especie de carambola, según comentaban en launchpad podría ser por cómo se alinea la memoria en el arranque, ya que esta solución funciona pero otros usuarios parecen tener suerte también con otras actuaciones que a priori, no parecen relacionadas.

Lleva 6 meses abierto y hace unos 3 que no tiene comentarios.

Es tremendamente frustrante adquirir un portatil completamente nuevo, moderno y potente, que se anuncia como diseñado para funcionar con linux y que este dando problemas desde el primer dia. Y uno de ellos tan grave que impide trabajar con normalidad.

En el hilo de freedesktop hablan de un parche para el kernel. No soy desarrollador ni tengo la confianza para instalar parches. Quiza el servicio tecnico de slimbook podria probarlo e incorporarlo a los respositorios. O buscar otra alternativa.

Ok, por diversas razones no puedo hacer un PPA, pero sí he podido escribir una entrada en mi blog con un pequeño script que hará todo el trabajo de bajar las fuentes, parchearlas y compilarlas. Está en https://blog.rastersoft.com/?p=3238

El problema de los freezeos solo pasa con un monitor externo conectado al equipo, hasta que pongamos una solución al problema de los freezeos, puedes probar a usar el equipo sin monitor externo conectado.

Actualmente estamos haciendo una versión del kernel que no contenga los freezeos, en cuanto lo tengamos preparado y se pruebe y confirme que 100% no hay freezeos, lo publicaremos

También es bien de comentar que la solución del kernel será una solución temporal hasta que se pueda usar la versión 6.14 que ofrecemos en los equipos
